Natural Flow: A Modern Minimalistic Landscape Design by Hsu Fu Chu

Creating an Enchanting Greenery Community

The entrance of the residential community is adorned with a minimalistic geometric water landscape, walls alongside the buildings, and framed scenery of plants, all of which maximize the space of the greenery community courtyard and create an excellent quality of living environment.

The Natural Flow design by Hsu Fu Chu is a congregate housing project that embraces a modern minimalistic geometric style. The horizontal and vertical lines elegantly delineate different spaces, creating a harmonious flow throughout the residence. One of the standout features of this design is the thoughtful arrangement of traffic flows, which distinguishes the outdoor and indoor traffic flow.

The entrance of the residential community is a true testament to the design's uniqueness. The minimalistic geometric water landscape, accompanied by walls alongside the buildings, creates a captivating visual experience. The enframed scenery of plants adds a touch of nature, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. This design not only beautifies the entrance but also maximizes the space of the greenery community courtyard, providing residents with an exceptional living environment.

Realized through a combination of innovative techniques, the Natural Flow design showcases the seamless integration of space and plants. The progressive design of the walls and hallway of the water landscape, along with the presence of large and tranquil water features and tall zelkovas, creates a mesmerizing reflection of greenery plants. This exquisite public space effortlessly distinguishes the community from the outside world, creating a sense of tranquility and serenity.

The design's interaction with its surroundings is a key aspect of its success. The circular tall traffic flow, spanning multiple floors, seamlessly integrates the public spaces on different levels. Additionally, the community features wheelchair ramps, ensuring accessibility for all residents. The overall public space is intelligently connected through horizontal and circular traffic flows, creating a cohesive and functional living environment.

The Natural Flow design is the result of extensive research and creative problem-solving. The arrangement of traffic flows not only enhances the spatial experience but also allows for the creation of underground floors with abundant greenery, sunlight, and fresh air. The diversity of the public spaces, combined with vertical afforestation, fosters a vibrant community life.

Overcoming various challenges, the Natural Flow design showcases bold and innovative ideas. The removal of the concrete ceiling in the underground floor allows for the creation of a sunken garden, flooded with natural light and fresh air. The hallways on the second floor are connected to multiple roof gardens, while the external hallways feature gorgeous greenery plants on both sides. The circular hallway, in particular, offers a breathtaking view of the water landscape's reflection, creating a truly splendid scene.

The Natural Flow design by Hsu Fu Chu has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2020. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that exhibit outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The Natural Flow design not only showcases strong technical and creative skills but also contributes to improving the quality of life, making the world a better place.
