Statice: A Dynamic Visual Identity Design

Creating a Unique Brand Experience

Statice is a Berlin-based company that offers a data anonymization solution for the development of privacy-compliant technologies. In this project, dynamic design and vivid colors conveyed an impressive visual identity system. The conversion of the two "D" (original data to synthetic data) constitutes the brand name "S", which leads to useful and unique visual features. The eye-catching colors not only from "statice (Sea lavenders)" also a color directly reflects the brand's identity and builds trust, further highlight the brand's image.

The visual identity design of Statice stands out with its innovative and dynamic approach. The logo, instead of being a simple symbol, is an overall and systematic visual representation of the brand. This design choice reflects the company's commitment to providing privacy-preserving solutions that go beyond the ordinary.

The use of vibrant colors plays a significant role in communicating the brand's identity. The gradient, hot stamping, and silver printing processes ensure that the brand design is effectively transmitted across different materials. These techniques not only enhance the visual appeal but also create a strong and memorable impression.

One of the key strengths of Statice's visual identity is its simplicity and modernity. The graphic design and typography are clean and minimalistic, allowing the brand to communicate its message clearly and effectively. The logo, built on the golden section design, exudes a sense of balance and harmony.

The choice of fonts further enhances the overall design. Sofia Pro, adjusted to align with the graphic design, provides a sophisticated and elegant touch. Poppins, the main typeface, adds a modern and simple aesthetic to the brand's visual language.

Throughout the design process, the team faced various challenges. Privacy protection is a complex concept to convey visually, but the designers successfully incorporated it into the brand's visual language. Finding the right design language to reflect the industry and brand's connotation was also a significant challenge that the team overcame with creativity and expertise.

The Statice visual identity design project took place from August 2019 to January 2020, with the initial research conducted in Berlin, Germany, and the finalization in Hamburg, Germany. The team carried out extensive market research, studied similar brands, and conducted questionnaires and workshops to ensure the design effectively represented the company's values and offerings.

This outstanding visual identity design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2021. This prestigious award celebrates designs that showcase creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence. The Statice visual identity design exemplifies these qualities, contributing to the improvement of quality of life and making the world a better place.
