Wan Shih Da He Ping Guan Jhih: A Fusion of Fashion and TranquilityA Neo-Plasticism Installation Art in Taipei City
This project takes fashion and cultural style as the main design direction and shows the perfect fusion of modernity and tranquility through artistic form and symbolic interpretation. The design team believes that the existence of art is to restore people's sense of life. Therefore, through the integration of visual perception in space, the metal bright surface installation art with "spring" as the theme of the installation art is used as the design emphasis in the center of the hall.
The Wan Shih Da He Ping Guan Jhih, designed by Parn Shyr, Yung-Hsi Peng, and Pei-Chi Hung, is a VIP reception space in a boutique mansion located in the heart of Taipei City. This unique design showcases a harmonious blend of fashion, cultural style, and artistic expression. The main focal point of the space is a stunning metal bright surface installation art inspired by the concept of "spring."
The art installation, serving as a pendant ring light in the center of the hall, deepens the feeling of the space. Its exquisite lines slow down the flow, creating a futuristic sense of tranquility. The fusion of space and vision allows for a visual panorama, with the metal components representing the direction of technology and futurism.
The design team aimed to create a space that evokes a sense of peace and serenity amidst the bustling city. The use of natural light and clean lines allows visitors to find solace in this VIP public space. The reading sofa area, adorned with carpets that image lake water, provides a tranquil retreat for guests. The white stone wall, resembling a scroll of calligraphy and painting, allows ample natural light to enter, further enhancing the serene atmosphere.
The Wan Shih Da He Ping Guan Jhih spans an area of 20.8m*9.25m and is divided into the main foyer, lounge bar, reading sofa area, and gym. The design incorporates barrier-free facilities such as ramps, slip lanes, and multi-person elevators to ensure convenience and accessibility. Even the flower stand, drainage ditch, and waterproof gate are thoughtfully designed to balance aesthetics and functionality.
This exceptional design has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity. The Wan Shih Da He Ping Guan Jhih was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that exemplify resourcefulness, technical skill, and contributions to improving quality of life.
