Bairuiyuan: A Fresh and Cultural Packaging Design for Wolfberry

Combining Tradition and Technology to Preserve Freshness

Bairuiyuan, a packaging design by Ke Xia, brings together the rich cultural heritage of ancient Chinese inscriptions and innovative technology to create a unique and valuable packaging for wolfberry products. This design not only ensures the freshness and quality of the product but also reflects the brand's focus on tradition and modernity.

The inspiration for Bairuiyuan comes from the desire to launch a fresh wolfberry product that stands out from similar products in the market. The design team drew inspiration from ancient Chinese inscriptions, which are known for their timeless beauty and enduring quality. The text is branded on the box in the form of inscriptions, symbolizing the brand's commitment to the product's quality and longevity.

What sets Bairuiyuan apart from other packaging designs is its unique combination of functionality and aesthetics. The design team selected the first stubble variety of Ningxia wolfberry, known for its superior quality, as the core ingredient for this product. The packaging itself is a work of art, with its red and white color scheme and embossed surface. The red waist seal, adorned with a gold edge, adds a touch of luxury and elegance.

One of the standout features of Bairuiyuan is the lock fresh bottle, a first in the wolfberry product market. This innovative design ensures that the product remains fresh and preserves its nutritional value. The outer box is filled with soft material, providing a cushioning effect and protecting the product from impact. The main structure of the box is made of industrial cardboard, ensuring its strength and durability. The internal tank design incorporates a one-way exhaust system, preventing the entry of external air and maintaining the product's drying degree.

Opening the Bairuiyuan packaging is a delightful experience. The magnetic buckle adsorption lid reveals five cans of wolfberry, each carefully sealed to preserve its freshness. The bottle itself is designed with a scale to mark the daily consumption, allowing users to accurately measure the amount they need. This attention to detail enhances the overall user experience.

The Bairuiyuan packaging design was realized through a combination of craftsmanship and technology. The exterior of the box is made using the cotton paper embossing process, while the inner bottle is made of high-quality materials to ensure its functionality and durability. The project, which started in March 2018 and ended in December 2019 in Chengdu, China, showcases the dedication and expertise of the design team.

The Bairuiyuan packaging design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2021. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate creativity, ingenuity, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. Bairuiyuan's fusion of traditional culture and modern technology truly makes it a standout packaging design in the wolfberry industry.

With Bairuiyuan, Ke Xia and the design team have successfully created a packaging design that not only preserves the freshness and nutritional value of wolfberry but also showcases the beauty of Chinese culture. This design serves as a testament to the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, making it a valuable addition to the wolfberry market.
