Yongna Sheng's Award-Winning Design: Shen Yang Cofco Sales Office

A Harmonious Blend of Art, Culture, and Functionality

Sheng's inspiration for the Shen Yang Cofco Sales Office design stemmed from the desire to create a sanctuary away from the pressures and anxieties of city life. The design aims to provide a space where one can avoid the crowd, breathe in natural air, and listen to their inner voice. The result is a design that not only meets aesthetic needs but also conveys the texture of production and diversified values.

The Shen Yang Cofco Sales Office is a testament to Sheng's ability to refine and integrate local culture and spirit into her designs. The office serves as a cultural display, adding interesting elements to the marketing theme. The design process involved gathering information about the project, developing and deepening the concept, finalizing the draft, signing a contract, implementing procurement, and visiting the Shenyang site.

One of the unique features of the design is its ability to tell a story. Sheng believes that space should not be a closed box but should be opened to let in natural light. From the skylight at the top to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the sky, courtyard, architecture, and culture are integrated to create a vivid urban forest. This approach creates an immersive sense of space experience.

Despite the challenges posed by the novel Coronavirus during the initial stages of the project, which affected the delivery of furniture, lamps, carpets, and paintings to the site, Sheng and her team were able to overcome these obstacles and deliver a unique sales space. The Shen Yang Cofco Sales Office is more than just a sales office; it is a destination that embodies nature, relaxation, and humanity.

The Shen Yang Cofco Sales Office, which spans an area of 1400 square meters, was completed between April and June 2020 in Shenyang, China. The design was awarded Silver in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021, a testament to Sheng's remarkable design expertise and innovation.
