Amr Ibrahim's Award-Winning Perfume Design Inspired by Ancient Egypt

The name "Nefer" is derived from the ancient Egyptian language, signifying beauty both inside and out. This concept is reflected in the design of the perfume bottle, which is inspired by the graceful curves of the female figure. The bottle's design is a tribute to the female form, mirroring the skeletal structure and the distribution of muscle and fat. The result is a bottle that is not only visually appealing but also symbolic of the beauty it contains.

What sets "Nefer" apart from other perfume designs is its unique packaging. The box, with its curved edges and gold typography, is a sculpture in itself. It is iconic and easily identifiable, adding to the luxurious appeal of the perfume. The packaging is a clear demonstration of the designer's attention to detail and commitment to creating a holistic and immersive experience for the user.

The "Nefer" perfume bottle is realized through 3D printing technology, signifying the convergence of art, technology, and design. The fragrance is contained within an inner core, symbolizing the soul within the body. This innovative approach to design realization underscores the designer's creative prowess and ability to push the boundaries of traditional design methods.

The design process for "Nefer" began in April 2020 and was completed in September 2020 in Milan, Italy. The project was a collaborative effort, with Amr Mousa and Anas Belekhbizi contributing to the product design and packaging. The design team faced the challenge of creating a luxurious and sophisticated product, package, and brand, which they successfully overcame, as evidenced by the final product.

"Nefer" has been recognized for its design excellence, winning the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, strong technical characteristics, and remarkable artistic skill. It is a testament to the design team's commitment to creating a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and emotionally engaging.
