Introducing Pupstar, a revolutionary brand identity designed by Haolai Francis Zhou, aiming to prevent pet loss through innovative positioning technology. This award-winning design is set to redefine pet safety, offering a fresh and dynamic visual language that resonates with pet owners worldwide.

Haolai Francis Zhou, the creative mind behind Pupstar, drew inspiration from the experiences of pet owners who have suffered the heartbreak of losing their pets. The limited product options available in the market to prevent pet loss sparked the idea for Pupstar. The design focuses on the relationship between animals and positioning, creating a unique visual language, particularly in the logo design. The logo's creation process aimed to develop a simple yet recognizable graphic that represents both pet and positioning, evoking pet owners to realize the relationship and functionality of the products.

Pupstar is not just a brand; it's a technology company. The new brand design is for the pre-launch of its new product, the Pupstar GPS Pet Tracker. The design presents the relationship between animals and positioning using iconic graphics from the logo in a dynamic way. The fresh and pop colors convey the technical support from the products and a passionate visual language to grab attention and help people never lose their pets. The consistent visual system works across all digital platforms, making it a versatile design.

The design realization technology involved exploring and creating simple iconic graphics to develop a logo that represents both pet and positioning. The brand logo and stationery were printed on a textured matte recycled stock paper. The logo is presented by OLED light technology in product design, enhancing the legibility and visuality of the GPS tracker when worn by pets.

The design's unique properties lie in its ability to create a passionate visual experience, catching people's attention on this new product that could provide significant support for their pet's lives. The design aids marketing sales by establishing a good communication and visual connection between pets and positioning services. The project, which started in July 2020 in San Francisco, was completed in December 2020 and was promoted via online digital marketing.

The design was awarded Silver in A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2021. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
