Mincius: A Zen-Inspired Drinking Glass

Mincius is made from heat-resistant glass, ensuring its durability and suitability for a variety of beverages, including hot and cold drinks. With a maximum width of 103 mm and a height of 91 mm, Mincius is the perfect size for everyday use.

The Mincius project was launched in Guangzhou, China, in March 2020 and completed in October 2020. It has been exhibited and included in Tmall's original design list, with online sales starting in December 2020. Siyu Liu, the designer behind Mincius, conducted extensive research on glass blowing techniques and visited numerous glass studios and factories across China to perfect the design. Mincius is the second work in Liu's glass meditation series, which aims to promote cross-cultural understanding through innovative designs that enhance the relationship between people and everyday objects.

Mincius has received recognition for its exceptional design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category in 2021. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills while contributing to improvements in quality of life.
