Shimmering Ripple: A Model Room Designed by Jz Design

An Exquisite Space Full of Artistry and Elegance

In order to create an extraordinary living experience, the master bedroom in the Shimmering Ripple model room features an open cloakroom, enhancing the overall interconnectedness and compactness of the space. The wardrobe, made from metal and glass, is adorned with a decorative linear light, creating a modern and minimalist aesthetic. This design choice also blurs the boundaries between the master bedroom, cloakroom, and bathroom, providing an unparalleled sense of luxury.

The living room of the Shimmering Ripple model room is characterized by large areas of grayish-white walls and warm gray wood veneer, setting the foundation for the space. Delicate hanging decorations, a striped carpet, and various other artistic elements add a touch of elegance to the entire room. The light pink sofa, harmonizing with the gray and white tones, injects a sense of joy into the originally serene space, bringing a delightful atmosphere to the residents.

Covering a total area of 141 square meters, the Shimmering Ripple model room is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship of Jz Design. The design team, consisting of Kyle Wang, Tina Chen, and Yixuan Peng, has successfully created a space that combines modern simplicity with an elite aesthetic.

A unique feature of the Shimmering Ripple model room is the interaction between the design and its occupants. A sitting sculpture of a human figure on the living room cabinet allows warm and hazy sunlight to filter through silk gauze, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. This design element invites residents to relax and enjoy life in a cozy and serene environment.

The Shimmering Ripple project began in December 2019 in Huanyuan and was completed in January 2020. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to ensure the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. The dining room, for example, continues the gray color palette, with the dining table and tea table complementing each other. The addition of marine elements such as crystal ornaments, coral adornments, starfish candlesticks, and a shell mirror adds a romantic touch to the space.

One of the design challenges overcome in the Shimmering Ripple model room was the integration of the kitchen with the dining room. This expansion of space created a perfect setting for emotional communication. The combination of stone materials and wood textures in the design exudes elegance and sophistication.

Through meticulous attention to detail and the skillful use of points, lines, and surfaces, the Shimmering Ripple model room achieves a harmonious relationship between space and light. The interior soft furnishings are arranged in a way that creates an illusion of continuity, with overlapping linear elements extending into the ceiling. This design choice not only enhances the sense of space but also reflects the unity of water and sky, erasing both visible and invisible barriers between people.
