Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV

Revolutionizing Highrise Glass Cleaning

Using modern drone technology to revolutionize high altitude glass cleaning, the Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV, designed by Guangpeng Yue, offers a safer and more efficient alternative to traditional manual cleaning methods.

The Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV is inspired by the need to reduce the cost and risk associated with high altitude glass cleaning. By utilizing a modular design concept, this drone can carry up to 5 cleaning modules, allowing multiple modules to work together simultaneously.

What sets this design apart is the use of glass cleaners instead of high altitude practitioners to complete high-risk operations. Equipped with an omnidirectional helicopter with 8 propellers, the drone can rotate 360 degrees freely in the air, ensuring thorough and efficient cleaning. Additionally, the modules can be easily removed and charged using solar energy, further enhancing the sustainability of the design.

The realization of this design is made possible through the integration of onboard sensors, onboard calculations, 8-axis length, and solar charging technology. With a body length of 540mm, width of 540mm, and height of 540mm, the Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV is compact yet powerful.

Operating the Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV is simple and efficient. The drone follows an airborne calculation standard path, sending the cleaning modules to the glass of high altitude buildings. After freely rotating and positioning the next working platform, the cleaning operation begins. The solar panels on the back of the modules provide continuous power, ensuring uninterrupted cleaning. Once the operation is complete, the flight module retrieves the cleaning modules.

The Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV project was launched in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in June 2020 and concluded in December 2020. Extensive research and development were conducted to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the design. The integration of airborne sensors, calculations, and a modular design allowed for precise and efficient cleaning.

This innovative design overcame various challenges, including the form and integration of the cabo module and the flight module. The result is a drone that not only improves the efficiency of high altitude glass cleaning but also reduces costs and risks associated with manual cleaning.

The Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Robotics, Automaton, and Automation Design category in 2021. This award acknowledges the practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements of the design. The Cube High Altitude Cleaning UAV is a testament to the team's commitment to creating a better and safer world.
