Longfor Drigin Tod Link: A Glimpse Into the Future

Li Liu's Award-Winning Design of an Immersive Urban Future Experience

The Longfor Drigin Tod Link, designed by Li Liu, is a futuristic landmark that offers a new model for urban development. This immersive experience center, inspired by the operation of a space station, presents a vision of the future as seen in science fiction.

The project stands out for its unique design, envisioned as a giant space station wandering in the vast universe. The designer's aim was to reflect the future and purity of the space station, using a large area of metallic white to evoke a sense of advanced technology. Contrasting with the dark universe, the pure white color adopts Aurora color, refining the color in the aurora spectrum to reflect the ever-changing gorgeous Nebula in the universe.

The realization of this design involved a blend of technology and art. The vast space is inseparable from the top and bottom, with a metal corrugated ceiling reflecting the mirror master control area for people to navigate between reality and fantasy. The white dome with the center light extends out the high circular arc front hall background wall, connecting the central area of the space station with a large volume, transmitting infinite energy and delivering energy for the space station. The dazzling ring encircles the entire console and the core area, serving as the core driving force. The vision is like a brilliant aurora that the space station passes through the universe.

The technical specifications of the design include a variety of materials such as water ripple board, mirror stainless steel, Pearl White/light gold metallic texture coating, A-level soft film, light gold paint baking board, acrylic, frosted white laminated tempered glass, white artificial stone, gray/white granite, tempered silk glass, GRG, spray printing carpet, leather, and felt.

The project was designed by Chief designer Liu Li and was completed between November 2019 and October 2020 in Nanqiao new town, Fengxian District, Shanghai. The design has been recognized for its innovation and excellence, winning the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.

The Longfor Drigin Tod Link serves as a testament to the power of innovative design in shaping our vision of the future. As we continue to explore the possibilities of urban development, this project offers a glimpse into what might be possible, challenging us to think beyond the constraints of the present and imagine a world that is as beautiful as it is technologically advanced.
