Blaster studio was provided with a script by the client's advertising agency, which included the line "the money on a bicycle." After experimenting with different approaches, the team decided to depict money as a man, inspired by the image of George Washington on the US dollar. In the video, Washington is shown sitting on a sofa, eating pizza, and appearing tired and lazy. This imagery effectively communicates the idea of taking care of one's finances and making them productive.

The use of George Washington as a central character in a bank's advertising campaign is quite unusual, as banks typically prefer more conservative approaches. However, Tinkoff Investment was open to trying something provocative, which allowed Blaster studio to create a memorable and attention-grabbing video.

The video was created using a combination of cel animation, cutout animation, and Adobe After Effects compositing. The result is a visually engaging and dynamic 30-second video that effectively conveys the message to the target audience.

The video, titled "Lazy Money," was widely shown as a preroll on YouTube, and it achieved a high conversion rate, indicating its success in capturing viewers' attention and generating interest in Tinkoff Investment.

The project was completed in September 2020 and targeted the Russian internet audience. Blaster studio worked closely with the Tinkoff Investment team, who were receptive to their ideas and agreed to incorporate the bold and unconventional imagery in their advertising.

The unique and creative approach of the Tinkoff Investment advertising video led to its recognition and accolades. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Movie, Video, and Animation Design category in 2022. This award recognizes designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skills, and contributions to improving the quality of life.
