Xiushanghua: Redefining Traditional Workspace with Fashion and Innovation

Creating a Versatile Office Interior Space

The Xiushanghua project involves the creation of a new office interior space spanning approximately 118.5 square meters. This multifunctional space seamlessly integrates the needs of an office, showroom, meeting room, studio, and boarding cast room. The project, which commenced in December 2020 and was completed in March 2021, aims to transform the traditional workspace into a dynamic and versatile environment.

The inspiration for Xiushanghua's design stems from the desire to emulate the ambiance of fashion weeks. The space exudes a sense of diversity, allowing it to function not only as a workspace but also as a showplace. By elevating the traditional Chinese embroidery industry to a younger and more internationalized realm, Xiushanghua challenges the conventions of workspace design.

The design team employed a combination of materials to bring their vision to life. Wood, steel, and gypsum board were utilized throughout the project, creating a harmonious blend of natural and industrial elements. The interior area features a floor height of 0.7 meters, with the aisle space elevated to form a "T stage." This height difference naturally separates different functional areas, enhancing the overall spatial experience.

Xiushanghua's innovative approach to workspace design not only showcases the brand's commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship but also highlights their dedication to creating a space that fosters creativity and collaboration. The fusion of art, culture, embroidery, and fashion within this interior space creates an immersive environment that inspires both employees and visitors alike.

The Xiushanghua project has garnered recognition for its exceptional design. In 2021, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.

With Xiushanghua, Jiayi Lu, Xinyu Li, and Miaomiao Lan have successfully redefined the traditional workspace, infusing it with fashion, innovation, and international appeal. This project serves as a testament to the power of design to transform industries and create spaces that inspire and captivate.
