Intuitive and Efficient UI Design for Air Products

The objective of the Air Btn's UI elements is to provide users with a seamless and efficient experience. By using simple and universally recognized symbols, the UI elements immediately convey the meaning of the product's unique functions. Whether it's adjusting the wind speed, controlling humidity levels, or activating additional features like negative ions or sterilization, the Air Btn's UI elements ensure that users can easily understand and operate the air products.

One of the strengths of the Air Btn design is its versatility. The UI elements can be printed on the product control panel or injected with LED lights to prompt consumers to press. This flexibility allows for seamless integration into different types of air products, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience across the product family.

The Air Btn's UI elements are not only visually appealing but also meet the manufacturing requirements of various products. The different strokes of the outline give the UI elements an elegant and delicate feel, creating an integrated visual framework for the product line. During the design process, the team faced challenges in accurately transmitting information while maintaining an exquisite design. Additionally, ensuring compatibility between the two production methods (print or injection molding) and accommodating different sizes posed restrictions on UI details. However, through innovative problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail, the team overcame these challenges to create a design that seamlessly combines functionality and aesthetics.

The Air Btn project started in August 2020 in Ningbo and was completed in November 2020 in ShenZhen, China. The design was based on extensive research on air products, including ventilators, purifiers, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers. The UI elements were carefully crafted to display the functions of these products intuitively, allowing users to easily understand and operate them.

The Air Btn design has received recognition for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Air Btn's integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and contribution to a better world have earned it this esteemed accolade.
