The calendar is not just a tool for tracking dates; it's a medium through which the thoughts and attitudes of all employees are shared. Each day reveals a new message, transforming the calendar into a conversation starter and a tool for unity. The design is simple yet functional, self-standing due to its thickness, and includes an appendix detailing the history of goo at the end of the book.
365 Voices stands out for its unique approach to celebrating a company milestone. Instead of a grand party or a generic corporate gift, the calendar serves as a daily reminder of the company's journey and the collective thoughts of its employees. It's a testament to the power of design in fostering unity and commemorating history.
The design was realized through Japan's advanced printing and processing technologies, known for their fine detail and quality. The calendar measures 95(w) x 80(h) x 35(d)mm, a compact size that fits comfortably on any desk. The design team, led by Creative Director Takuya Okamoto and Art Director Katsumi Tamura, also included Designer Takahiro Sugawara and Copywriter Toshiyuki Nagamatsu.
Launched in March 2017, 365 Voices has since garnered international recognition. The design was awarded the Golden A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award in 2018. The award celebrates marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
In conclusion, 365 Voices is more than a calendar. It's a celebration of a company's history, a tool for unity, and a testament to the power of design. It's a reminder that even in a digital world, there's a place for tangible objects that bring people together and tell a story.
