The Merriest Christmas greetings card stands out from other designs with its focus on evoking the often-forgotten emotion of joy during the festive season. Designed for clients, families, and friends, this card is not just a simple greeting; it is a conversation starter. The design incorporates locally relevant pins that serve as a unique and fun way to share the story of Christmas and the joy of giving.

The design process involved sourcing a factory to create soft enamel pins based on the design. Additionally, a top lid box was developed to hold the pins inside, with strips of cardboard creating a top layer to hold the greeting card. The use of normal offset printing with gold foil in key areas adds a touch of elegance to the design.

With dimensions of 204mm (Width) x 139mm (Depth) x 15mm (Height), the Merriest Christmas greetings card is a compact and visually appealing piece.

What sets this design apart is its interactive nature. Opening the box reveals the front of the card, and flipping it over reveals the story. Lifting the card reveals a set of three pins, adding an element of surprise and delight to the recipient's experience.

The Merriest Christmas greetings card project began in October/November 2018 in Hong Kong and was completed in December 2018. Each card was hand-delivered or mailed to recipients in the week leading up to Christmas, ensuring that the joy and spirit of the season were shared with loved ones.

The design process for the Merriest Christmas greetings card involved partnering with a local charity group that supports children and young mothers. The studio committed to donating money on behalf of each recipient to the charity group, further emphasizing the joy of giving. The greeting card introduces the charity, the donation made on behalf of the recipient, and the importance of spreading the story of Christmas and the joy of giving.

Overcoming challenges, such as finding a charity group that resonated with the recipients and coordinating with various parties involved in the production and delivery process, the Merriest Christmas greetings card successfully spread the message of joy and giving during the holiday season.
