Embracing Workplace Transformation with Stoked Associates

Stoked Associates, known for their commitment to workplace transformation, has reimagined the concept of an office with Stoked KL. This 1300sqft space is designed as a fully open workspace with a studio-like atmosphere. The designers aimed to create an environment that sparks creativity and encourages interaction among people.

One of the standout features of Stoked KL is the movable bar table, which adds flexibility to the space. This allows for different activities to take place, whether it's a casual meeting, a brainstorming session, or even a social gathering. The designers have also incorporated acoustic design panels to control noise levels and reverberation, ensuring a productive and comfortable working environment.

Upon entering Stoked KL, visitors are greeted by a cafe-like pantry area, offering coffee and tea. The sleek black and white tiles complement the Classic Blue Wall in the Meeting Room, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. As you walk further into the studio, you'll find a cozy Lounge Area with a window-like art mural that looks out onto a tropical forest. This unique mural features exotic animals, adding a touch of whimsy to the space.

Stoked Associates has also opened up the back of the house, combining it with a Material Library. This space serves as a source of inspiration for the designers, allowing them to experiment with various materials and bring new ideas to the table. The combination of different elements and textures throughout the space creates a visually stimulating experience.

The project, which started in August 2019 and was completed in September 2020, is located at EkoCheras Office Suites in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Stoked Associates took on the challenge of creating a workplace that caters to different activities and promotes collaboration. They achieved this by providing movable furniture and dedicated lockers for individuals, allowing employees to choose their preferred work setting and maintain a clean and organized environment.

Stoked KL has received recognition for its innovative design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Stoked KL stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better working world.
