Clement Tung Jeun Cheng, the renowned designer behind Virtual Scenery, has created a residence that seamlessly blends nature and virtuality. Inspired by the serene beauty of Sai Van Lake, this design offers a unique living experience that transports residents to a world of tranquility.

One of the standout features of Virtual Scenery is the use of wood finishes throughout the interior. This choice not only adds warmth to the living spaces but also showcases the ever-changing Sai Van Lake. The patterned wood floor mimics the ripples on the lake, creating a sense of movement and fluidity.

The arrangement of color depth in Virtual Scenery serves multiple purposes. It not only divides the different areas of the residence but also enhances the overall sense of space. The stairs, which act as an intermediate space connecting the upper and lower floors, feature black metal bars and champagne handrails in vivid colors. This striking design element adds a touch of vibrancy to the otherwise serene environment.

Virtual Scenery is a testament to the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Completed in February 2021 in Macau, Virtual Scenery is a result of meticulous research and creative thinking. The designer aimed to capture the essence of Sai Van Lake by visualizing the colors and movements of the water and waves. The exterior and interior of the residence share the same theme but express it in different ways, creating a cohesive design that is both visually stunning and emotionally captivating.

Virtual Scenery presented its fair share of challenges. The main idea behind the design was to capture the ever-changing nature of the lake. By experimenting with different densities and angles, the designer successfully visualized the colors and movements of the water, creating a virtual image of Sai Van Lake. The consistent use of materials and colors throughout the interior and exterior further enhances the profoundness of the design.
