Elegant Palace of Stones

Residence Design by Yu-Ting Chang

The Elegant Palace of Stones is a luxurious and magnificent residence located in Shalu District, Taichung. With its unique design and attention to detail, this project stands out as a true masterpiece of architecture and interior design.

The first floor of the villa is composed of a huge living room, a tea-tasting area on the left, and a long dining room at the back. As soon as you enter the entrance hall, the square and spacious living room unfolds in front of your eyes, echoing the bright black marble floor. In the middle of the living room, the calm and restrained gray-white pattern fabric carpet serves as the base, with two square white marble tables as the center, surrounded by high-quality Italian Poltrona Frau armchairs.

This project focuses on creating a luxurious and magnificent space. The use of vivid texture and natural black marble as the base creates a prosperous water flow. The color selection is gentle and elegant, with marble compartments, wooden materials, and high-end leather furniture, all contributing to a peaceful atmosphere. The ceiling design incorporates arc geometric ingenuity, resulting in more interesting and natural indirect lighting.

The tea tasting area, located in the corner of the floor, features long arc tables and chairs. With large windows on both sides, it offers a warm and comfortable atmosphere, allowing for a clear and comfortable tea-making and tasting experience while enjoying the greenery and scenery outside. The curvilinear staircase next to the tea tasting area follows the trend, using dark wood to create upright, winding, and stable handrails. Cleverly placed lights in the gaps of the handrails illuminate the route, ensuring brightness and clarity.

The kitchen in this residence is divided into metal, titanium-plated iron parts, and marble walls. An open metal shelf can be used to display artworks or store tableware supplies. The long kitchen space is centered around a large off-white round table, surrounded by cooking areas and low-temperature storage areas.

With floor-to-ceiling windows on the side, natural light floods the room, creating a brighter and livelier atmosphere. This design choice adds to the elegant ambiance of the space. The use of natural black marble, the incorporation of arc geometric elements, and the careful selection of materials and colors were some of the challenges overcome during the design process.

The Elegant Palace of Stones is a testament to the skill and creativity of designer Yu-Ting Chang. With its luxurious and magnificent design, this residence offers a truly unique living experience.
