Community Park: Zhao Zhou

Integrating Community Service and Commemorative Green Space

Following the urban texture of Haimen District, the park's roads are arranged in a north-south direction, accompanied by orderly arrays of plants. The core area of the park utilizes the Fibonacci spiral composition, creating a visually captivating space. Music serves as the central theme, with ten different scenes dedicated to showcasing the journey of music.

The park's centerpiece is the Shen Zhaozhou Art Center, which is surrounded by a series of inner courtyards, creating a simple and lively spatial order. The existing ditches have been transformed into an ecological dry stream, and the park utilizes the concept of a "sponge city" to effectively collect rainwater and enhance its ecological functions.

The park spans an area of 4.6 hectares and was completed in 2020. It is a commemorative landscape space that promotes the Jianghai culture of Haimen and showcases the city's cultural identity. The design successfully integrates the dual functions of community service and commemorative green space, creating a modern community park.

The Zhao Zhou Community Park has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category in 2022. This accolade is a testament to the project's creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life in the area.
