A Unique Residential House Design by Li Hut Chin

This four-story house seamlessly integrates the spatial designs of an interior design studio and a residence. The interior features a multitude of original materials overlapping one another, creating a profound spatial experience for users. Slender lines divide the space, accentuating the contrasting wall colors and the play of lights and shadows. This design technique shapes a unique atmosphere that stimulates visitors' imaginations to envision their future living space.

The house is designed with practicality, functionality, and spatial efficiency in mind. The living room, dining room, and parent-child studying area are harmoniously arranged to create a comfortable environment for a dynamic family life. The staircase to the upper bed is designed as a slide, providing a fun element for children. As they grow up, the slide can be turned upside down to become a long table, serving as a versatile piece of furniture. The staircase also doubles as additional storage, maximizing the use of space.

The design emphasizes the principles of practicality, functionality, and spatial efficiency. The consistency of white walls and wooden materials creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Glass brick walls are used in the corridor area on the third floor, creating a translucent and ambiguous effect. The perpendicular linear segments create a connected yet penetrating visual atmosphere, adding a touch of intrigue to the space.

Located in Zhongli, Taoyuan, Taiwan, this design project was realized from January 2020 to October 2020. Inspired by blueprints, Li Hut Chin transformed the design studio area into a blue key wall, with numerous lines meeting at a common vanishing point. The layout accentuates the lines against the lights and shadows, creating a visually captivating experience.

This unique residential house design by Li Hut Chin has been recognized for its excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. The award acknowledges the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of this creation, meeting professional and industrial requirements. With its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, this design contributes to a better world.
