BeeHacchee: Innovative Kraft Paper Packaging for Honey Cheese Tart

An Impactful and Casual Design by Shingo Furusho

Inspired by the concept of honey, designer Shingo Furusho created BeeHacchee, a unique and visually striking packaging design for a honey cheese tart. The hexagonal shape and yellow color scheme resemble a beehive, while the use of kraft paper adds a casual and approachable touch. This innovative design, realized through advanced printing technology, sets BeeHacchee apart from other packaging designs in the market.

BeeHacchee stands out with its distinctive hexagonal cardboard box, reminiscent of a beehive. The choice of this shape perfectly captures the essence of honey and adds a visually appealing element to the packaging. The yellow border pattern, printed on the kraft paper, creates impact and draws attention to the product. The handwritten logo further enhances the design's uniqueness and adds a personal touch.

One of the main challenges in creating BeeHacchee was achieving the desired yellow color on kraft paper. Printing companies generally avoid this combination due to the color sinking into the paper. However, with the collaboration of a highly skilled printing company, Furusho was able to overcome this obstacle and bring his vision to life.

The BeeHacchee package is made from a single piece of cardboard, making it both practical and environmentally friendly. Its dimensions of 224mm width, 195mm depth, and 44mm height provide ample space for the honey cheese tart, ensuring a secure and visually appealing presentation.

Furusho's research focused on creating a package that would stand out among the vast array of sweets available in the market. The design had to be impactful, casual, and photogenic to attract the target audience. By paying attention to the shape, color scheme, and overall design, BeeHacchee became widely recognized and sought after.

BeeHacchee received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022. This award recognizes designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The packaging design integrates industry best practices and exhibits competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.

With BeeHacchee, Shingo Furusho has successfully created a packaging design that not only showcases the product but also captures the essence of honey and the casual nature of the cheese tart. Its unique shape, yellow color scheme, and use of kraft paper make it a standout choice for those seeking a visually appealing and impactful packaging solution.
