From O to X: A Cyberpunk-Inspired Office Design

Urban aesthetics, street fashion, and contemporary simplicity come together in this innovative office space

Inspired by the brand's logo, designer Chi-Wei Pai creates a minimalist environment that breaks fashion stereotypes and encourages creativity.

Chi-Wei Pai, the visionary designer behind the From O to X office project, has successfully combined urban aesthetics, street fashion, and contemporary simplicity to create a truly unique workspace. The brand's logo, featuring an X over an O, symbolizes combination, breakthrough, and innovation based on the origin, the true self. This concept is beautifully translated into the design of the office, which aims to break conventional images of how one should work and dress.

The office space is characterized by a minimalist environment with shades of black and white. Neon lights illuminate the industrial-styled office, creating a cyberpunk-inspired atmosphere. The open-plan layout is spacious, airy, and bright, with ample natural lighting. The use of metallic materials, such as exposed pipes on the ceiling, adds a chic vibe and contributes to the modern, concise style of the working space.

One of the key features of the From O to X office design is its versatility. The layout allows for quick transitions between different environments, scenarios, and emotions, fostering diverse creativity in the working process. Traditional workplace partitions are eliminated, allowing ventilation and lighting to travel well to every corner of the space.

The 602-square-meter office is divided into various areas, including a display area, photo studio, meeting room, rest area, and flagship exhibition. Each area is carefully designed to serve its specific purpose while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the space.

Chi-Wei Pai's attention to detail is evident in the selection of furniture and items that create different environments for different types of conversations. The space can be transformed to appear relaxed, serious, private, or open to everyone. The use of metal materials adds flexibility to the space, with reusable and convertible elements that echo the brand's idea of constant progression.

The From O to X office design not only provides a functional workspace but also serves as an inspiring environment that reflects the brand's visual identity. The interior decoration sends a clear message, catching the attention of customers and conveying the brand's commitment to innovation and pushing boundaries.

This remarkable office design project was completed in January 2022 in Taipei City, Taiwan. It has garnered recognition and acclaim, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The From O to X office design stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.
