Ecopace: Revolutionizing Waste Management with Eco-Enzymes

Introducing a Sustainable Solution for Kitchen Waste

In today's world, where sustainability is a pressing concern, designer Aodong Li presents Ecopace, an innovative environmental enzyme machine that transforms kitchen waste into a valuable resource. Inspired by the need for a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional waste disposal methods, Ecopace offers a convenient and efficient way to eliminate odors, sterilize, and produce fertilizer, all while reducing carbon emissions.

Ecopace addresses the limitations of traditional waste management methods by harnessing the power of eco-enzymes. Unlike incineration, which releases harmful carbon dioxide, or composting, which can be challenging to implement in urban areas, eco-enzymes offer a versatile solution. By fermenting kitchen waste, Ecopace produces eco-enzymes that can be used for deodorization, sterilization, and more. The residue generated during the fermentation process can also be dried and used as fertilizer, providing a sustainable and circular approach to waste management.

What sets Ecopace apart is its intelligent and simplified production process. Traditional eco-enzyme production methods are often complex and challenging to implement in urban settings. However, Ecopace streamlines the process, making it accessible to households in both rural and urban areas. With its water circulation system, storing and removing enzymes becomes effortless. Additionally, the residue can be conveniently collected from the side of the machine, ready to be used as fertilizer.

The design of Ecopace prioritizes functionality and cost-effectiveness. The shell is made of stainless steel, ensuring durability while minimizing production costs. The container inside is created using ABS injection molding, guaranteeing long-term storage for the eco-enzymes. With dimensions of 620mm x 380mm x 60mm, Ecopace is compact and fits seamlessly into any kitchen space.

Operating Ecopace is simple and user-friendly. Users pour peels, vegetables, and suitable sugar water into the machine following the prompts on the screen. During the first month of fermentation, Ecopace automatically reminds users to discharge gas and stir the mixture daily. After three months, the enzymes flow from the fermenting area into the tank, while the residue is filtered and can be easily collected from the side.

The Ecopace project began in Wuhan in November 2021 and was completed in January 2022. Extensive research and analysis of consumer data were conducted to ensure the design met the needs of users. By studying competing products and exploring new application scenarios, the team behind Ecopace created a humanized design that offers a sustainable solution for waste management.

Ecopace has been recognized for its exceptional design and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category in 2022. This prestigious award acknowledges the practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements demonstrated by Ecopace. By integrating industry best practices and technical excellence, Ecopace contributes to a better world, providing fulfillment and positive impact.
