Reimagining workwear, Pilotfisch GmbH and Co. KG introduces Buddy Workwear, a brand that combines sustainability and style. The new collection, made from sustainable materials, represents a shift in the workwear industry towards environmental responsibility.

Since 1925, bud-Bruns-Debray has been a leading manufacturer of workwear. In 2021, the company took a significant step towards sustainability, launching a new collection made entirely from sustainable materials. This marked a new era for the company, which rebranded as Buddy Workwear, with a new brand identity created by Pilotfisch.

The new brand name, Buddy, is at the heart of the brand's identity. It stands out in the market, expressing a fresh attitude towards workwear. The design and wording bring Buddy to life through clear, striking colors and typography, with no frills – everything genuine. The brand stands out in the market, piquing customer interest.

The brand's realization involved a multifaceted approach, including brochures printed on paper, a website, a social media campaign, a video, and a mailing campaign with a unique folding effect. The brochures, in DIN A4 format, were sent to potential customers, marking the brand's entry into the market.

The design process involved transforming the company into a personality. The goal was to create a design that was not just attractive, but distinctive, aiming for long-term attention and placement of the new brand in the minds of customers. The high-quality, sustainable, and regional production is a special feature of the brand, catering to the increasing demand for such products.

The project was launched in June 2021 in Warendorf, Germany, with a focus on the North Rhine-Westphalia region. By March 2022, 4000 brochures had been sent out to potential customers. The brand's research focused on creating a unique name and identity, differentiating it from other workwear brands that often present their collections in similar ways.

The design of Buddy Workwear presents a fresh, clear appearance. The core color, dark blue, showcases the products, while the light blue serves as an accent and highlight color. The colors harmonize around the products, complementing each other like buddies. The brand name, Buddy, expresses the new attitude just by reading it, coming to life through the design and wording.

The brand's design was recognized with a Silver A' Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design Award in 2022. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
