Torino: A Minimal Kitchen for Maximum Customization

Unleash Your Creativity with Torino Kitchen

Often we begin to furnish the house starting from the kitchen: it influences the rest of the rooms with its style and materials, unconsciously it is she who binds us to many choices. Precisely for this reason we have created a minimal kitchen that knows how to adapt to every need, and at the same time chameleonic, able to change as the customer imagines it.

Clean lines, minimal design, and maximum freedom in customization are the hallmarks of Torino Kitchen. Designed by Nicoletta Santini, this kitchen offers a unique blend of style, functionality, and personalization. With Torino Kitchen, customers can bring their own desires to life by choosing from a wide range of materials, systems, and technologies.

The customer is at the center of the design process, with the ability to select not only the materials but also the kind of systems and technology that suit their needs. Torino Kitchen offers dimmed LED lighting with adjustable tilt, a top hidden socket, garbage disposal, and completely customized sizes. Every detail is carefully considered to satisfy the client's requests and enhance their cooking experience.

The choice of materials for Torino Kitchen is extensive, ranging from laminates to lacquered finishes, wood to Fenix, and Corian to laminated HPL. Each material offers a unique aesthetic and brings new possibilities to the design. For this particular kitchen, a super matt anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch laminate was used. This versatile and resistant material not only adds a touch of elegance but also ensures easy maintenance and cleanliness.

When it comes to functionality, the worktop takes center stage. It must withstand heat, be waterproof, and resist impacts. Torino Kitchen's worktop is made with a stratified HPL, a material known for its exceptional durability and resistance to heat and impacts. It is also easy to clean, does not retain dirt, and can withstand even the toughest stains, such as coffee or wine.

Designed and realized by Nicoletta Santini and her team, Torino Kitchen is a testament to their meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality. The project, which started in November 2021 and finished in January 2022, was brought to life in Shapes Italy's showroom in Bergamo.

The inspiration behind Torino Kitchen stems from a deep research into the city of Turin, known for its vigor, linearity, and style. The enigmatic buildings, strong flavors, and elegant colors of Turin served as the foundation for this unique kitchen design.

Overcoming creative, technical, and research challenges, the team carefully selected the hardware and opening systems for Torino Kitchen. Metal drawers with retractable guides and slow closing, mechanisms for flap doors and folding doors, doors with shockproof closure, and a top hidden socket were chosen to enhance the everyday experience in the kitchen.

With its clean lines, minimal design, and maximum customization options, Torino Kitchen is a versatile and adaptable addition to any home. The grooves and plinth in aluminum, which can be painted in the same color, add a modern touch. The wide range of materials for the doors and the top allows customers to create the desired atmosphere, while the high-quality hardware and mechanisms ensure a seamless cooking experience.
