Inspired by the need for fashionable and flexible outerwear during polar exploration, Peacebird introduces a revolutionary outdoor techwear system. This modular down jacket is designed to provide users with a warm and comfortable experience in extreme conditions. With its innovative three-layer structure, users can freely select combination schemes to ensure optimal comfort and heat retention.

What sets Peacebird apart is its unique properties and strengths. This modular down jacket is specifically designed for the harsh outdoor environment of polar regions. Made with special materials, it features waterproof and windproof properties, ensuring comfort and warmth even at extremely low temperatures. The two removable linings allow for better adaptation to different surrounding temperatures, making it a versatile choice for any weather condition.

The realization of the Peacebird design is a result of advanced technology and careful craftsmanship. The three functional layers include a windproof and waterproof windshell, a heat retention layer of down or fleece lining, and a base layer close to the skin. The windshell is primarily made of Gore TEX fabric, providing excellent water resistance, windproofing, and breathability. Areas prone to wear, such as the shoulders, elbows, and lower hem, are reinforced with Cordura fabric, known for its durability and reflective fibers. The inner layers are filled with innovative functional fabric aerogel, effectively insulating heat and preventing body heat loss.

The interaction with Peacebird is seamless and user-friendly. The modular design allows users to change combination schemes according to the surrounding temperatures. The three layers are connected by zippers, enabling users to wear two layers indoors or in early winter and all three layers in the outdoor environment of polar regions to prevent cold air invasion. Additionally, the jacket features a reflective membrane for marine rescue and a RECCO positioning search and rescue system, providing assistance in emergency situations.

The Peacebird design project began in October 2019 in Ningbo. Field tests were conducted from August 15th, 2021 to August 30th, 2021 in Mountain Zhongshan, Sichuan, and from September 28th, 2021 to October 18th, 2021 in Keketuohai International Ski Park, Xinjiang. The design team collaborated with polar scientific researchers, polar guides and explorers, and outdoor enthusiasts to optimize the design for superior practicality.

One of the main challenges addressed by the Peacebird design was the inconvenience of thick and heavy coats indoors. To overcome this, the product innovates the layered system, allowing users to easily separate it into multiple layers for free combinations, adapting to diverse scenarios and outdoor activities.
