Azam Nabatian's Award-Winning Design Breathes Life into Jewelry

Nabatian's design philosophy is rooted in the belief that colors can liven up a piece. This belief is evident in the Rose Flower earrings, where she uses enamel colors to create a vibrant and recognizable piece. The earrings, made from 18k yellow gold, are adorned with 112 round diamonds and two natural sapphires, creating a stunning visual effect that is reminiscent of dew on a flower.

The process of creating the Rose Flower earrings was a meticulous one. Nabatian used a combination of metal casting, fire enamel, and handmade stone settings to bring her vision to life. However, the process was not without its challenges. The delicate nature of enamel and the need to position the stone near the enamel without damaging it presented significant hurdles. But with careful planning and execution, Nabatian was able to overcome these challenges.

The result is a pair of earrings that are as unique as they are beautiful. The earrings, which measure 57mm in height and 32mm in width, are a testament to Nabatian's skill and creativity. The Rose Flower earrings were designed and produced in Dubai in 2021, and the project took a month to complete. Despite the challenges faced during the production process, Nabatian's dedication and passion for her craft ensured that the final product was nothing short of spectacular.

Nabatian's efforts were recognized when the Rose Flower earrings were awarded Silver in the A' Jewelry, Eyewear and Watch Design Award in 2023. The award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and Nabatian's creation certainly fits the bill.
