Aimee Lee's design is a masterful blend of art and symbolism. The ring's octagonal shape signifies regeneration, totality, infinity, rebirth, and transition, mirroring the designer's deepest desires for a peaceful and fortunate world. The reversible structure of the ring, adorned with different combinations of natural gemstones, emphasizes the concept of "Harmony in Diversity".

Erised.Desire stands out for its unique properties. Each side of the ring features different combinations of tailor-cut natural gemstones, creating a harmonious balance despite their differences. The ring can be appreciated from all angles, with each side offering a new surprise. This design emphasizes the importance of multiple views and uses jewelry as a medium to interpret this concept.

The ring's realization is a testament to Aimee Lee's craftsmanship and attention to detail. Made from 18K yellow gold and set with natural gemstones including Mother of Pearl, Lapis Lazuli, and Carnelian, the ring also features 54 pieces of White Diamond, 25 pieces of Blue Sapphire, and 25 pieces of Ruby. The reversible mechanism of the ring is carefully calculated and handcrafted, ensuring a smooth transition between its two sides.

The project, which started in October 2018 and was completed in January 2019 in Hong Kong, was exhibited in China and Hong Kong in February 2019. The design process involved overcoming numerous challenges, including calculating the correct angle and mechanism for the ring's reversibility and merging two different kinds of tailor-cut stones. Despite these hurdles, Aimee Lee succeeded in creating a piece of jewelry that is more than just an accessory.

Erised.Desire's innovative design and profound message have not gone unnoticed. The ring was awarded Silver in the A' Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design Award in 2019, a prestigious accolade given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
