Colorfall: A Stunning Necklace Inspired by Shawls and Peacock Colors

An Exquisite Couture Piece by Neda Ghadir

The Colorfall necklace stands out with its unique and captivating design. The precise deformation of curves and swirls, carefully considered to enhance the necklace's appearance on a woman's body, adds to its allure. The arrangement of gemstones went through a series of trial and error processes to achieve the best possible result, resulting in a breathtaking composition.

Made from 18K white gold, white diamonds, and a selection of precious and semi-precious stones, the Colorfall necklace showcases the highest level of craftsmanship. The 3D model was created using MATRIX software and then 3D printed in wax in several pieces. The wax model was cast in gold using the lost wax method, with parts meticulously welded and soldered together. Some components of the necklace were even handmade, adding a personal touch to this couture piece.

Weighing 700 grams and adorned with a total of 2100 stones, the Colorfall necklace is a true masterpiece. Its dimensions of 200mm x 180mm x 320mm make it a statement piece that cascades over a woman's neck area towards the back. This necklace is best worn with strapless or sweetheart necklines, adding a touch of glamour and sophistication to any formal or evening attire.

The design process for the Colorfall necklace took approximately three months, starting from initial sketches to virtual prototypes and finally arriving at the current design. Throughout the process, extensive research was conducted on different shawl styles worn with evening gowns and the shapes, curls, and colors of peacock feathers. This research was crucial in finding the perfect interpretation of these elements in high jewelry.

One of the main challenges faced during the creation of the Colorfall necklace was arranging the stones to achieve the desired effect. With a wide range of colors included in the design, it was essential to arrange them in a way that enhanced each other's beauty, color, and reflection while maintaining a harmonious composition. Additionally, ensuring the necklace was comfortable and wearable, despite being made of several small and intricate parts, posed a technical challenge that was successfully overcome.
