Ligne Roset Exhibition Hall: A Showcase of Modern French Design

An Immersive Shopping Experience in Chongqing's Red Star Macalline Mall

The inspiration for this design came from a careful analysis of the mall's layout and the sales situation of other merchants. The exhibition hall is strategically located near the main entrance of the mall, attracting customers with its prime position. To further enhance its visibility, a gate entrance was placed opposite popular non-furniture merchants, drawing in more customers and creating a seamless flow of foot traffic.

What sets this exhibition hall apart is its meticulous attention to sales lines. The layout of the store interior is thoughtfully designed to guide customers from the entrance, allowing them to naturally explore every corner and appreciate the full range of Ligne Roset's products. The design team has created immersive scene simulations, enabling customers to envision how these furniture pieces would complement their own homes.

One of the key principles behind the design is the belief that the product should be the protagonist, with the space serving as a backdrop to highlight its beauty. Ligne Roset's diverse range of products is showcased through carefully curated tonalities, ensuring that each furniture piece stands out in its own unique way.

The design team faced the challenge of harmoniously integrating different styles and tonalities within the exhibition hall. They successfully achieved this by employing a combination of local interpenetration of the modeling and a basic unity of color, resulting in a seamless transition between different design elements.

The Ligne Roset Exhibition Hall project began in 2021 and was completed in September of the same year. The design team conducted extensive research on various design styles, ultimately selecting wabi-sabi, modern, light luxury, and French influences as the tonalities for the exhibition hall. The wabi-sabi aesthetic was particularly emphasized in the main entrance to create a distinct contrast with the neighboring merchants' luxurious tonalities.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. The award acknowledges the exhibition hall's outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, showcasing strong technical and creative skills that contribute to improving the quality of life.
