Jizhou: A Unique Optometry Clinic Design

Combining Medicine, Art, and Commerce

Award-winning designer Ke Luo has created a truly exceptional design with Jizhou, an optometry clinic that seamlessly integrates medicine, art, and commerce. Inspired by the medical attitude of Tianjin Eye Hospital, which embodies the values of "kindheartedness and justice" from Confucianism, Jizhou stands as a testament to the hospital's commitment to excellence and benevolence.

What sets Jizhou apart is its innovative use of circles throughout the design. These gentle and soft shapes not only enhance the overall aesthetic of the space but also reflect the commercial nature of the clinic. The design harmoniously integrates with the visual identity colors of Tianjin Eye Hospital, creating a cohesive and visually stunning environment.

The realization of Jizhou involved the use of various elements, including green plants, trees, wooden columns, "Trial Frame" models, wood, and custom-made leather sofas. These carefully selected materials and features contribute to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the clinic.

Spanning an impressive area of 877 square meters, Jizhou offers a dynamic color scheme, combining warmth with a sense of professionalism. The design emphasizes personalized service and technology, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and well-cared for.

Creating Jizhou was not without its challenges. The design needed to meet the requirements of a commercial, ophthalmic, and clinic space, each with its own unique demands. However, through meticulous planning and collaboration, Ke Luo successfully achieved a design that is both attractive and functional.

The design of Jizhou extends from the exterior to the interior, creating a profound visual effect that seamlessly combines medicine and art. The eye-shaped centerpiece, adorned with the visual identity colors of Tianjin Eye Hospital, stands out against the surrounding white elements. The decorative ceiling on the second and third floors follows the same circular motif, creating a warm and inviting environment.

The design has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category.
