Clickseal: Revolutionizing the Drinking Experience

An Innovative Water Bottle Cap by Avner Balachsan

In the pursuit of enhancing the bottle-drinking experience, Avner Balachsan, the renowned designer, drew inspiration from the tubing industry's irrigation connectors. This led to the creation of Clickseal, a revolutionary cap that opens and closes with an intuitive "click" motion.

The traditional bottle cap has been a staple for over a century, serving its purpose well. However, Avner Balachsan was tasked with developing an innovative drinking bottle that would redefine the user experience. Through extensive user research, the focus was narrowed down to the cap and the process of opening and closing it. The result is Clickseal, a cap that is innovative, fun, easy, and fast to operate, without any threading.

One of the most significant advantages of the Clickseal cap design is its effortless operation. With a simple quarter twist, the cap opens, and with a gentle push, it securely closes with a satisfying click, ensuring a leakproof seal. Unlike traditional caps, there is no need to tighten it with force, making it accessible for everyone, including children, individuals with hand mobility issues, or those on the go.

The sleek and modern design of the Clickseal cap is available in a range of colors, adding a touch of personalization to the drinking experience. The cap is paired with two different bottle models: ACT, a single-wall water bottle, and ECO, a double-walled daily bottle with insulation to prevent condensation.

The Clickseal is made in Israel by Source company, utilizing durable and high-quality materials. The bottle container is made of Tritan by Eastman, ensuring durability and safety. The cap is crafted from a unique formula of Acetal, providing strength and reliability. A silicone seal and PE tube complete the design, guaranteeing a leakproof and hygienic drinking experience. The Clickseal is also BPA and PVC-free, prioritizing user health and safety.

Avner Balachsan and his team faced numerous challenges during the development of Clickseal. Engineering a patented cap that met their vision required years of trial and error. Through extensive testing, including throwing bottles from various angles and heights, they developed their own unique material for the cap and cup. The balance of the silicone seal was meticulously fine-tuned through dozens of revisions to achieve the desired click and ease of use without compromising the sealing mission.

The Clickseal project started in 2019 and was completed in 2022 in Israel. Throughout the process, Avner Balachsan's team dedicated themselves to innovating the user experience, ensuring that the simplest action of opening and closing the bottle cap became an enjoyable and hassle-free task.

Clickseal has garnered recognition in the design industry, receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2023. This accolade is a testament to the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements. Clickseal's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics contributes to a better world.

Experience the Clickseal revolution and elevate your drinking experience with this innovative water bottle cap. Say goodbye to cumbersome threading and hello to effortless functionality and style.
