The Hera Phacz Home stands out as a sustainable and inventive residential building that seamlessly integrates with its surroundings. The project's main goal is to bring nature into the urban environment and create a dialogue with people's increasing desire for a deeper connection with nature and peace of mind, especially in the post-pandemic context. By incorporating biophilic design principles, the Hera Phacz Home offers a unique living experience that prioritizes the health and well-being of its residents.
One of the key features that sets Hera Phacz Home apart is its conceptual design, which combines different types of plants across its floors. With a total of six different plants alternating on each floor, the building's facade boasts unique characteristics and an enhanced sense of movement. This design choice not only adds aesthetic value but also creates a visual connection with nature for the residents.
The realization of Hera Phacz Home relies on a combination of materials such as concrete, glass, metal, and wood. Native vegetation is carefully integrated into the building's design, further blurring the boundaries between the built environment and nature. LED lighting is strategically employed to enhance the overall ambiance and highlight the green spaces within the building.
Technical specifications of the Hera Phacz Home include a total area of 16,350 square meters on a 1,120 square meter property. The building stands tall with 30 floors, reaching a height of 110.82 meters. It houses 48 residential units, with two apartments per floor, each boasting a generous ceiling height of 3.42 meters. Additionally, the building features a leisure area on the sixth floor, providing residents with ample opportunities for relaxation and socializing.
The Hera Phacz Home project was a collaborative effort led by Carlos Alberto Pio Junior and Integrare Engenharia e Arquitetura Ltda. Extensive research on biophilic architecture and its benefits to human health and well-being was conducted during the design phase. The team also faced the challenge of accommodating different combinations of plant types on a vertical structure while maintaining the building's functionality and aesthetic harmony.
With its unique blend of nature and modern living, Hera Phacz Home offers residents a sensory experience like no other. The biophilic architecture creates a seamless interaction between the built space and the natural environment, promoting a sense of tranquility and connection with nature. Common spaces within the building are carefully designed to encourage interaction and socializing among residents, fostering a strong sense of community.
The design phase of Hera Phacz Home started in July 2021 and was completed in December 2022. Construction is set to begin in July 2023, with an expected completion date of December 2027. This exceptional residential building is located in Porto Belo, Santa Catarina, Brazil, where it will serve as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of nature and modern architecture.
The Hera Phacz Home has already been recognized for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2023.
