Inspired by the propellers of aircraft, this revolutionary design aims to cool brake discs during high-speed braking, extending their lifespan and enhancing overall performance.

Traditional wheels lack the ability to cool brake discs, resulting in increased temperatures that can significantly impact their durability. The Whirlpool wheel hub, however, boasts an exceptional air diversion function. By efficiently collecting air around the wheel hub and channeling it towards the center of the disc, it effectively cools the brake disc, prolonging its life.

Constructed from titanium alloy material, the Whirlpool wheel hub is a testament to both function and aesthetics. The combination of pouring and CNC processes ensures a product that not only performs flawlessly but also captivates with its sleek design.

With dimensions of 432mm in width, 203mm in depth, and 432mm in height, the Whirlpool wheel hub fits seamlessly into various car models, offering a versatile solution for brake disc cooling.

Operating the Whirlpool wheel hub is a breeze. Its propeller-like spokes draw in air as the vehicle runs at high speeds, effectively cooling the brake discs. The Whirlpool project commenced in October 2022 and was successfully completed in December 2022 at the Changshu Institute of Technology. Extensive research and testing were conducted to address the challenges of utilizing fluid mechanics to cool high-speed air vortexes and high-temperature brake discs. Through continuous refinement, the design team achieved an optimal wheel shape that maximizes cooling efficiency.

The Whirlpool wheel hub has garnered significant recognition in the design community. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Vehicle Parts, Auto Accessories, and Care Products Design category in 2023. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that exemplify creativity, resourcefulness, and technical prowess, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
