At the heart of White Curve's design philosophy lies the desire to create a spiritual haven that radiates serenity. The use of earth tones set against a white backdrop, complemented by light wood and subtle orange accents, fosters a warm and inviting atmosphere. The unique ceiling design, characterized by its criss-crossing curves, adds a dynamic element to the space, challenging the conventional flatness often found in residential design.
Yi-Lun Hsu's innovative approach extends to the functional aspects of the residence. The integration of a wooden beam that seamlessly blends with the cabinetry is a clever solution to disguise structural elements, enhancing the visual flow of the space. The entrance area, defined by its grey-tiled totem design, serves as a transitional zone, while a full-length mirror amplifies the sense of spaciousness.
The design's practicality is evident in the kitchen's two-line countertop layout, which optimizes the available space and incorporates sliding doors to contain cooking fumes. The dining area is punctuated by two striking white chandeliers, drawing the eye and serving as a focal point. Storage solutions are thoughtfully integrated throughout, such as the window couch that conceals household items and a sideboard for small appliances.
Addressing the challenges of a compact 85 square meter space, Yi-Lun Hsu has skillfully navigated feng shui considerations and storage constraints. The master bedroom cleverly uses a dressing room partition as a bedhead, avoiding direct sightlines to the bathroom door. The bathroom itself features a hidden door clad in light wood, maintaining the design's cohesive aesthetic.
The culmination of Yi-Lun Hsu's design prowess is recognized with an Iron A' Design Award, a testament to the project's innovation, practicality, and contribution to enhancing lifestyle. White Curve stands as a model of how thoughtful design can transform a residence into a sanctuary that nurtures the well-being of its inhabitants.
