Bosque: A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Modern Living

Larissa Garbers Crafts a Sustainable Residential Marvel

In the heart of Curitiba, Larissa Garbers' "Bosque" emerges as a residential beacon of sustainability and modern design, seamlessly integrating natural elements with innovative architecture.

At the intersection of environmental consciousness and architectural innovation, "Bosque" stands as a testament to Larissa Garbers' vision. Inspired by the lush surroundings, the residential building is a symphony of wood, concrete, and glass, designed to invite the sun's embrace into every corner. The skylights are not merely functional; they are transformative, casting an ever-changing play of light and shadow that breathes life into the space.

Distinctive in its aesthetic, "Bosque" challenges the conventional with its clean lines and contemporary facade. The use of natural materials is not just a stylistic choice but a commitment to blending the indoors with the outdoors. The house's design is a triumph of green technologies, incorporating solar panels and a water collection system, thus marrying luxury with ecological responsibility. The open-plan layout fosters a communal spirit, while the minimalist design is punctuated with furniture that marries form with function.

The realization of "Bosque" is a marvel of engineering, utilizing reinforced concrete and innovative construction techniques to create expansive, column-free spaces. The light-weight polystyrene blocks interspersed within pre-cast concrete slabs exemplify the project's dedication to sustainability and structural ingenuity. This approach not only supports the architectural vision but also contributes to the building's overall energy efficiency.

"Bosque" is not just a structure; it is an experience. The four-story residence is designed to cater to the inhabitants' flow of life, with each space meticulously planned to serve its purpose. From the hardwood-floored main floor to the rooftop jacuzzi, every detail is a nod to luxury, privacy, and the integration of work and leisure.

Located in the cloud-kissed city of Curitiba, the project spanned two years, from June 2020 to May 2022. The design process was underpinned by meticulous research, utilizing simulations to maximize sunlight penetration, a precious commodity in a city known for its overcast skies. The result is a residence that not only stands as a beacon of design and sustainability but also optimizes its environmental footprint.

Overcoming the challenges of integrating sustainable technology with financial viability, "Bosque" is a creative endeavor that has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2024. This accolade is a testament to the project's successful fusion of art, science, and design, contributing to an enhanced quality of life and setting a benchmark for future residential projects.
