At the intersection of art and architecture lies Poly Tianyue Xiyuan, a private residence that stands as a monument to contemporary design. Lianhua Yang, the visionary behind this project, has crafted a space that transcends the ordinary, offering an 800-square-meter canvas of sophistication. Located in Guangzhou's bustling Haizhu District, it gazes upon the city's iconic skyline, including the famed Guangzhou Tower.
Yang's design philosophy is deeply rooted in the interplay of light and space, a dance that brings the residence to life. Each room is a stage where shadows and illumination perform, guided by meticulously arranged spatial lines and a palette that accentuates the home's dynamic character. This approach not only meets functional needs but also elevates the user's experience, inviting them into a world where space pulsates with vitality.
The residence's environmental consciousness is evident in its construction. Adhering to principles of sustainability, the design incorporates energy-efficient systems and materials. A dual ventilation system ensures comfort across seasons, while a thermal resistance system embedded in the ceiling maintains optimal indoor temperatures. These features reflect a commitment to a low-carbon footprint without compromising on luxury.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a curved wall that stretches two meters in length, its contours welcoming and inclusive. The juxtaposition of fish belly white marble against a metallic foyer installation creates a striking visual contrast, while varied flooring materials delineate spaces without disrupting the residence's harmonious flow. Such thoughtful details underscore the design's technical prowess and aesthetic sensibility.
Yang's design is not merely about creating a living space; it is about curating an environment that resonates with cultural and spiritual significance. It is a sanctuary where one can unwind, engage in meaningful conversations, and appreciate the beauty of life. The residence embodies a timeless elegance, a place where every moment is an opportunity to experience life's finer aspects in tranquility.
The project, which spanned from 2020 to December 2022, is a testament to Yang's ability to marry traditional Chinese elements with French luxury. The design subtly incorporates Bagua patterns, satisfying the client's Feng Shui preferences while maintaining a regal atmosphere. Overcoming technical challenges, such as the installation of a large marble piece in the foyer, showcases the meticulous attention to detail that defines this award-winning residence.
Poly Tianyue Xiyuan stands as a Bronze A' Design Award laureate, a recognition of its design excellence and contribution to enhancing quality of life. It is a space where innovation meets tradition, and where every corner is a reflection of Lianhua Yang's dedication to creating not just a home, but a legacy.
