Liang Chi Guo's Bench Blends Taiwanese Heritage with Contemporary Design

Inspired by the traditional Taiwanese stool, Liang Chi Guo's Corner Collection reimagines heritage elements through innovative design and craftsmanship. The bench stands out with its unique wood joinery, a method that eschews metallic fasteners for a seamless and sturdy construction. This technique not only honors the rich woodworking history of Taiwan but also presents a modern solution for sustainable furniture design.

The bench's distinctive features include its rounded legs, which showcase the natural wood grain while preventing the common issue of sharp-edge collisions. The light and airy design, coupled with the warm wooden tones and elegantly rounded corners, culminates in a piece that exudes sophistication and artistic charm.

Realized through the use of mortise and tenon joinery, the Corner Collection bench boasts exceptional durability. The Corner Collection emerged from a research-driven approach that sought to increase the utilization of domestic softwood in Taiwan.
