Positioned as a gathering spot for celebrities, Ripple is much more than a club. It is a testament to the innovative thinking of Kris Lin, a designer known for his ability to blend form and function seamlessly. The club's design is a nod to the new style of Orientalism, with a variety of facilities including a lobby, bar, tea and video hall, VIP room, swimming pool, gym, and dance studio.
The interior space of Ripple is open and inviting, featuring an inclined roof that evokes the wooden buildings of Southeast Asia. The use of a truss in the ceiling design, combined with integrated lighting, creates a harmonious ambiance. The choice of materials further enhances the club's aesthetic appeal, with teak, coffee travertine, Fragrant rice Beige, Bosy gray, gray serpeggiante, and silver foil all playing a part.
Spanning 45,000 square feet, Ripple is a grand project that took shape between August 2010 and February 2011. The design process began in Torino, Italy, and concluded in Chengdu, China, where the club was exhibited in May 2011. This ambitious project is a testament to the collaborative efforts of Kris Lin and Jiayu Yang, the design directors who brought Ripple to life.
Ripple's unique design and innovative approach to clubbing have not gone unnoticed. In 2012, the club was awarded the Platinum A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award. This prestigious accolade recognizes world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative designs that showcase unmatched professionalism, contribute to societal wellbeing, and push the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology.
In conclusion, Ripple is more than a club; it's a celebration of Orientalism, a testament to innovative design, and a beacon of cultural richness. It's a space where celebrities and club-goers can gather to experience the unique blend of luxury and comfort that only Kris Lin's design can offer.
