Arnica Bora: Revolutionizing Cleaning with Water Filtered Vacuum

Yasemin Ulukan's Award-Winning Design Offers Innovation and Practicality

Arnica Bora stands out in the market with its unique features. The patented water filtering system and vacuum lock are not found in any other water filtered vacuum cleaner in the market. The double suction feature ensures that dust never escapes, while the tested Hepa filter guarantees cleanliness. The design also exhibits environmental awareness with its recyclable parts. The water tank, designed as a bucket-shaped structure, can be easily cleaned, preventing bacterial growth.

The realization of Arnica Bora involved extensive research and development. All plastic parts are made from recycled material, with a sign on each part indicating the type of materials used, facilitating recycling. After three years of research, the parts were designed for quick assembly with a minimum error rate. This economical design approach reduced production costs, allowing for more products to be produced. The newly designed filtering system ensures no suction loss, providing more vacuuming performance with less motor power.

The product dimensions are 320x310x475 mm, and when packed with accessories, the box dimensions are 400x400x600mm. The design team included Hasan Akın, Yasemin Ulukan, and Design Engineer Sıtkı Ozer. The operation of Arnica Bora is simple. Users only require 1.2 liters of water to clean their homes. The hose is connected to the main body instead of the water tank, allowing the user to remove the water tank for filling or emptying without the need to remove the hose.

The project was launched in September 2010 in Turkey after a three-year development period. The development was based on feedback from previous models and extensive research. The team faced the challenge of creating a spongeless double suction system that keeps all the dust in water without letting water drops reach the motor. The result is a modest design that complements the functionality of the product.

Arnica Bora has been recognized for its innovative design, winning the Golden A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2012. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
