This office, designed by Chih Wen Chaw and Shok Wan Ho, is a testament to the idea that workspaces can be both practical and tastefully designed. Manor Properties, a boutique developer focusing on residential projects, wanted an office interior that reflected their commitment to creating homes that are both functional and inviting. The result is an office space that exudes a cozy "domestic" feel while maintaining its functionality.
The unique feature of this office is the way it organizes itself like a home. The working spaces are nestled amongst a feature shelf, creating a sense of intimacy and warmth. The open pantry, reminiscent of an open kitchen, encourages collaboration and interaction among colleagues. The conference room, designed to be more open like a living room, fosters a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for meetings.
By incorporating elements of a home into the office environment, Manor Properties has created a space that feels welcoming and familiar. The sense of homeliness that permeates the office contributes to a positive and productive working environment.
The project, which took place in Singapore, began in August 2011 and was completed in February 2012. Since its completion, the Manor Properties office has been recognized for its outstanding design.
This design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2013 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. The award recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Manor Properties office stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its occupants.
