The VINNO 80 is a product of a Chinese startup, VINNO Medical, that aims to compete with established brands like G.E. and Toshiba. Creating the VINNO 80 involved extensive research, brainstorming, and adherence to regulations and standards. The process also included 2D and 3D proposals, mockups, rapid prototyping, user interface design, graphic design, and advertising and communication material design. The result is a device that excels in clarity of view, a crucial factor for doctors analyzing patient conditions.

The project began in Wuxi, China, in September 2010 and concluded in November 2012 in Germany, at "MEDICA", the largest medical expo in Europe, where the VINNO 80 was formally launched. The design team faced many challenges during the development of the VINNO 80, including understanding the hundreds of rules and regulations related to the best ergonomics for medical devices, designing something modern and different, and selecting the best materials while keeping an eye on cost control.

The VINNO 80 was awarded Platinum in the A' Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design Award in 2013. This prestigious award recognizes world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative designs that showcase unmatched professionalism, genius, and contribute to societal wellbeing.
