The inspiration for the Idea Door came from the design company LOGO, where Zheng Peng sought to convert a two-dimensional plane logo into a three-dimensional device. By incorporating augmented reality technology, the Idea Door creates a multidimensional display space that merges the real and virtual worlds seamlessly.
One of the standout features of the Idea Door is its ability to extend windows and doors in four directions, enabling smart conversion and interaction between the interior and exterior of the display space. This design element represents the enterprise concept of tolerance, openness, and diversified development.
The interactive display technology of augmented reality allows for the superposition of real and virtual environments within the Idea Door. This enables the enterprise design case inside the device to transition from a two-dimensional display to a multi-dimensional experience. Visitors can explore and engage with the design in a way that is both immersive and visually captivating.
The Idea Door is made using a combination of soft film, carpet, and white baked paint plate materials. With a compact size of 36 square meters, it offers a versatile and efficient space for showcasing various design projects.
Augmented Reality (AR) technology plays a crucial role in the functionality of the Idea Door. By overlaying computer-generated virtual objects, scenes, or system prompt messages onto real scenes, AR enhances the user's perception of the real world. C&C Design Co., Ltd., the creator of the Idea Door, is at the forefront of applying this technology to display design, particularly in real estate sales, government and enterprise exhibition halls, and advertisement marketing.
The Idea Door project was initiated in October 2012 in Guangzhou and completed in December 2012. Throughout the design process, the team faced the challenge of effectively integrating augmented reality technology with the audience's interaction. However, their dedication and innovative approach resulted in a truly unique and captivating exhibition space.
The Idea Door, designed by Zheng Peng, has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2014. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
Experience the transformative power of design with the Idea Door, a multidimensional exhibition space that pushes the boundaries of innovation and technology.
