The P+ONE DESIGN CENTER team's inspiration for the exhibition hall was a moment of blossom, symbolizing their vibrant and creative team. They chose an unconventional material and architectural craft technique, a new design language, to create an ingenious space. The design's unique properties stem from this inspiration, with the 5.5 meters high facade of the space resembling a flower in bloom.
The wall of the space is made of 2000 reclaimed wood hollow rectangle boxes, combining traditional architectural craft techniques with parameterization variation calculations. This innovative approach breaks down traditional wall structures, creating a dynamic trajectory that ensures all pivots can fix walls. The result is a new arc wall that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also mechanically sound.
The exhibition hall is not just about visual appeal; it's also about interaction. A large circular screen is suspended above the middle of the space, playing video and music in a continuous loop. This feature allows visitors to experience the space from different perspectives, creating a powerful and immersive experience.
The design process was a meticulous one, starting with the creation of a model and the selection of suitable materials. The team conducted extensive research on the variation and equilibrium of the wall, calculating data such as the size and quantity of boxes, distance of pivot, radian, and height of the wall. The result is a space that is not only visually stunning but also structurally sound.
The P+ONE Exhibition Hall is more than just a space; it's a testament to the power of design and creativity. It's a space that not only showcases itself but also interacts with its visitors, breaking down traditional structures and creating a future building model. This design was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2015, a testament to its outstanding and trendsetting creation.
The P+ONE Exhibition Hall is a shining example of how design can transform a space, creating an environment that is not only visually stunning but also interactive and engaging. It's a testament to the power of design and the creative desire of the P+ONE DESIGN CENTER team.
