Barb Perfume, created by the Barb Team, is a brand that challenges the norms of the perfume industry. With its unique approach to branding and packaging, Barb Perfume embodies the essence of the fearless spirit.

In a market saturated with perfumes that cater to women, Barb Perfume takes a bold step by appealing directly to men. The designers, Roma Lazarev, Sergei Anenko, Alexander Romanov, Anton Khabarov, and Elena Khoroshiltseva, conducted extensive research on the perfume market and its target audience. They discovered that men rarely buy perfume for themselves, and most advertisements are geared towards women. This insight led to the creation of a truly masculine brand that resonates with the lords of creation.

What sets Barb Perfume apart is its fluid identity. The brand does not rely on a traditional logo, as it contradicts the philosophy of free and fearless spirit. Instead, the man himself becomes the brand, and Barb Perfume becomes an extension of his personality. The perfume flask, made of stone, symbolizes simplicity, individuality, and primal strength. It holds the true essence of its owner, reflecting his spirit and mindset.

Barb Perfume also breaks away from traditional packaging. A plastic transparent cube holds the stone flask, allowing its naturalness and essence to shine through. The floating illusion created by the cube grants a sense of weightlessness, further emphasizing the brand's connection to nature. The rough calligraphy, made with wooden sticks, adds a touch of savagery to the design, reinforcing the brand's wild and untamed nature.

To promote the brand, Barb Perfume employed a teaser outdoor advertisement campaign. Mysterious floating stones appeared on city streets, accompanied by the slogan "Release your nature." Weeks later, billboards were adorned with handwritten Barb calligraphy signs and an address leading to the promo-site. This interactive approach engaged potential customers and piqued their curiosity.

The Barb Perfume project, which started in October 2013 and concluded in December 2013, faced various challenges. The designers aimed to create a brand that would stand out in a crowded market and cover all aspects, including philosophy, identity, package design, advertising, and website development. Their dedication and creativity resulted in a perfume brand that defies convention and captures the essence of the modern man.

Barb Perfume's innovative approach and exceptional design were recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2015. This award is a testament to the brand's outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill.
