Tender Care Brush: A Stylish and Innovative Hairbrush

Revolutionizing Haircare with Double Ball Tips and Ergonomic Design

The Tender Care Brush, designed by Dennis Fang, is a massaging and styling hairbrush that combines functionality with elegance. Inspired by the perfect curves of a woman's hair, Fang created a unique handle that not only looks beautiful but also provides exceptional comfort and ease of use.

What sets the Tender Care Brush apart from other hairbrushes is its innovative double ball tip technology. Each nylon bristle is bent in asymmetrical lengths, creating two levels of bristles. Both ends of the bristles are treated with epoxy ball tips, ensuring a tender and caring experience for the scalp. The longer bristles are designed for styling the hair, while the shorter bristles deliver a comfortable massaging effect to the scalp.

The realization of the Tender Care Brush required the development of new machines, such as tufting machines and ball tip machines, to meet the unique requirements of double ball tip tufting. Made from plastic and nylon bristles with epoxy ball tips, the brush is both durable and gentle on the hair and scalp.

Measuring 40mm x 35mm x 210mm, the Tender Care Brush features a one-piece plastic ABS construction with two layers of double ball tip bristles. It contains 170 bristles with red and white ball tips. The brush is packaged in a clear PET box with a graphic paper card that provides descriptions and specifications.

Using the Tender Care Brush is a delight. The double-bristling technology ensures that each stroke detangles the hair while providing a soothing massage to the scalp. The result is hair that is smoother, shinier, and more manageable compared to using other brushes on the market.

The development of the Tender Care Brush was a collaborative effort. Designer Dennis Fang worked closely with director Lio Kuo, engineer Robert Huang, product manager Ben Lin, and design assistant Kyo to bring this innovative hairbrush to life.

The project started in the summer of 2013 in Taipei, Taiwan, and was completed in August 2014. The Tender Care Brush was released worldwide in September 2014, captivating haircare enthusiasts with its unique design and exceptional performance.

Extensive research was conducted to realize the vision of the Tender Care Brush. Fang and the engineer worked together to develop a machine capable of dipping two ball tips on a single nylon bristle. This new machine significantly reduced production time and costs. Additionally, the team collaborated with a chemical university in Taiwan to improve the epoxy material used for the ball tips, reducing the drying time from 8 hours to just 2 hours.

Overcoming challenges was an integral part of the design process. The development of the machine for double ball tip dipping was a particularly complex task. However, through meticulous testing and experimentation, Fang and the engineer successfully created a machine that could dip 200 nylon bristles in just 10 minutes, resulting in better quality ball tips and smoother production.

The Tender Care Brush is not only a functional hairbrush but also a work of art. Its ergonomic handle, inspired by the curves of hair, provides a comfortable grip and effortless styling experience. With its unique design and innovative features, the Tender Care Brush has garnered recognition in the design community. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Beauty, Personal Care, and Cosmetic Products Design category in 2015, a testament to its practicality, innovation, and professional quality.

Experience the Tender Care Brush and revolutionize your haircare routine. Say goodbye to tangles and hello to a gentle and luxurious brushing experience.
