Inspired by the captivating images captured by the Hubble telescope, Anita Sondore sought to create a design that would evoke the awe-inspiring beauty of the universe. "For far there in the universe - much further than we can see, everything moves, flows, mists over, forms and becomes. That is the Universe of Anita Sondore," she explains.

What sets "The Universe" ring apart is its ability to capture the first moment of creation. The ring takes on different forms for each wearer, whether it be a snake, the Milky Way, or the delicate leaf of a tree. The true essence lies in the wearer's experience and connection to the design.

The ring is crafted using the finest materials, including 925 silver, gold-plated 925 silver, rhodium-plated 925 silver, or 750 white or yellow gold. The choice of material and finish allows for a range of options to suit individual preferences.

With an elevation from the finger base of 5 to 10mm, "The Universe" ring makes a powerful statement while remaining comfortable to wear. Its dual-sided design offers two distinct appearances, allowing the wearer to choose which side to showcase.

The Universe project began in May 2013 in the suburbs of Riga, Europe's most northern capital city, and was finalized in January 2014. The ring made its debut at the JA New York Summer Show 2014 and was featured as an "Item of the Day" on accessoriesmagazine.com. It was also presented at the Los Angeles Art Show 2015, garnering attention and acclaim.

Anita Sondore's design philosophy for "The Universe" ring was rooted in the exploration of movement and perspective. She wanted to create a piece that would challenge the viewer's perception, much like the ever-changing nature of the universe itself. "Are we able to see different subjects from different points or are we accepting only one opinion?" she ponders.

Creating a harmonious balance between soft and sharp edges, size and weight, was a challenge that Sondore overcame with finesse. The result is a piece that embodies the duality of life - powerful yet soft, light yet heavy.
