Perfect Vision: A Futuristic Laser Ophthalmology Institute

Transparency and Technology Redefine the Clinic Experience

The inspiration for Perfect Vision came from the concept of creating an interior environment that resembles a spaceship. The design team aimed to convey a sense of advanced technology and confidence through the use of glass transparency, allowing patients to observe the various procedures performed by highly qualified staff and state-of-the-art machines. Each area is defined by windows that delimit the space, complemented by specially designed images as wallpapers, enhancing the galactic sensation of being inside a spaceship.

What sets Perfect Vision apart is its dedication to advanced treatments with the latest technology equipment. The clinic's remodeling aimed to transmit a sense of cleanliness and safety through futuristic lines, pure white colors, and subtle blue lighting. The comfortable waiting area features seating in various shades of relaxing tones, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere.

The realization of the design was made possible through the use of the latest technology, including the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology and digital fabrication. Every piece was modeled in 3D with precise information on measures and materials using Autodesk Revit. Computer Numerical Control technology was then employed to digitally fabricate the elements in different materials such as wood, aluminum, and PVC, ensuring perfection and precision in assembly.

With a total area of 200 square meters, the interior design of Perfect Vision is predominantly made of wood, MDF, PVC, and glass. These elements were produced in a workshop using digital techniques, allowing for efficient and precise construction. The exterior remodeling, designed using the BIM methodology, is entirely made of aluminum composite panel.

The design of Perfect Vision promotes interaction and transparency. Patients and clients in the waiting rooms can observe all the processes, clinical, and surgical procedures happening in the clinic, instilling confidence in the high-quality clinical and professional medical team.

The project started in 2013 and was completed in 2014. Perfect Vision is located in Cancun, Mexico.

The design team behind Perfect Vision includes architects Víctor Sanz Pont, Sergio Sanz Pont, Eder Jafet Hernández, Valeria Gómez Hundorf, and Acoyani Adame. The construction team responsible for bringing the design to life was Planea Construcciones.

Perfect Vision has received recognition for its innovative design. In 2015, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
