Juliana Pippi's office design was born out of a desire for a larger, more comfortable space to welcome clients and suppliers. The office is not just a workspace; it's a showroom of materials, textures, and colors, carefully curated to create an atmosphere of harmony. The design aims to incorporate work and relaxation areas, creating an environment that is both inspiring and inviting.
The office's unique properties stem from Pippi's long search for the perfect location. She found it in a neighborhood near major furniture and decorating stores, an area of 111 square meters with several glass openings and a 25 square meter terrace that offers a beautiful view of the sunset and the sea north of Florianopolis. The industrial aspect of the construction was maintained, resulting in a design that is unique and full of personality.
The design was realized using a mix of raw and natural materials such as burnt cement floor, drywalls with a concrete effect, bamboo panels, and brick walls. To contrast and bring life to the environment, striking colors like violet, turquoise, lime green, and rose pink were used. The office is divided into eight rooms connected by large doors that can be integrated when necessary, depending on the use of each environment.
The project started in late 2014 in Florianopolis and ended in January 2015, with the implementation of the project concluding in April 2015. Pippi's research for the design focused on materials that could transform and incorporate the space with a comfortable, cozy design while taking advantage of the generous amount of natural light. She also prioritized the use of sustainable materials and energy-efficient LED lighting.
Despite the ease with which the project was developed, the implementation of the new bathrooms and the final definition of the furniture posed a challenge due to the numerous options available. Pippi wanted to honor Brazilian designs with pieces signed by them in all environments, and she successfully overcame this challenge, resulting in a design that is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing.
In conclusion, Juliana Pippi's office design is a reflection of her commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional and comfortable but also inspiring and aesthetically pleasing. Her innovative use of materials, color, and space, combined with her commitment to sustainability, has resulted in a design that is truly deserving of the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award.
